"Dick! all outta luck" is a ninety-second animated short by Ben Saufley wherein a private eye must face the city's notorious crime boss to escape with his life and his girl. The animation was created in Maya in a more colorful, stylized take on the film noir genre.

      The animation was completed during Ben's final year at the Savannah College of Art and Design, with ten weeks for planning and twenty for production. Ben did everything, from the initial concept, the storyboards and layouts, and animatic, through the modelling and rigging, to the final animation and sound editing (including an original score), in this timespan.
